Cataract: cashless with most health insurance and corporate employee plans, subject to policy terms, sub-limits and insurer approval. Premium lens upgrades and other non-payable items may leave a patient contribution. LASIK and ICL can be covered by health insurance depending on your policy's clauses. Wekure Health reviews your insurance documents and clauses and confirms cashless eligibility before surgery. Coverage, limits and any patient contribution require insurer confirmation; cashless is not guaranteed. Eligibility is reviewed at participating centres in Kerala, Delhi and Mumbai. Zero-cost EMI is subject to lender approval.

Understand your options
A cataract is clouding of the eye’s natural lens, which can cause blurred vision, glare and difficulty with daily activities. Surgery removes the cloudy lens and replaces it with an intraocular lens (IOL), commonly using phacoemulsification. Monofocal, toric and other lens options have different benefits and trade-offs; the right choice depends on eye health and everyday visual needs.
An individual decision

Tests are selected by the clinician. Information on this page is general guidance, not a diagnosis or a recommendation for surgery.
Surgery has risks including infection, inflammation and retinal complications. Some people still need glasses. If both eyes need surgery, their timing is decided individually; do not assume both can be completed during a short visit.
A care journey, not a recovery promise

Complete examination and lens measurements. The surgeon confirms whether surgery is appropriate and explains lens options and their costs.
Follow the prescribed drop and eye-protection plan. Attend postoperative checks and agree travel readiness and future reviews with the treating team.
A Personalised care is a planning framework, not a guaranteed treatment or recovery period. Your clinician decides treatment timing, follow-up and fitness to fly; a longer stay may be needed.
