LASIK policy clauses & zero-cost EMI

Cataract: cashless with most health insurance and corporate employee plans, subject to policy terms, sub-limits and insurer approval. Premium lens upgrades and other non-payable items may leave a patient contribution. LASIK and ICL can be covered by health insurance depending on your policy's clauses. Wekure Health reviews your insurance documents and clauses and confirms cashless eligibility before surgery. Coverage, limits and any patient contribution require insurer confirmation; cashless is not guaranteed. Eligibility is reviewed at participating centres in Kerala, Delhi and Mumbai. Zero-cost EMI is subject to lender approval.

    About LASIK & vision correction

LASIK reshapes the cornea using a laser to reduce dependence on spectacles or contact lenses. The surgeon creates a thin corneal flap and treats the underlying tissue. Topography-guided LASIK, also offered through Wekure Health, uses a map of the cornea to guide treatment. The appropriate approach depends on your eyes, not simply your preferred technique.

    An individual decision

Could it be right for you?

    • Usually considered for adults with a stable prescription and healthy eyes.
    • Corneal thickness, shape and tear-film health must be assessed; LASIK is not suitable for every cornea.
    • Pregnancy, some medical conditions and an unstable prescription may mean postponing treatment or choosing an alternative.

    What an assessment may include

    • Prescription and comprehensive eye examination
    • Corneal topography and thickness measurements
    • Dry-eye assessment and discussion of visual expectations

Tests are selected by the clinician. Information on this page is general guidance, not a diagnosis or a recommendation for surgery.

    Important to know

Dryness, glare, halos and residual prescription can occur. Reading glasses may still be needed with age. No procedure guarantees spectacle-free vision; discuss risks and alternatives with the surgeon.

    Before travelling

Discuss your prescription, preferred destination and available appointments. Ask the clinic when to stop contact lenses before measurements.

    02

    Assessment & decision

Complete an in-person corneal assessment. Agree the technique, risks and written costs before consenting to treatment.

    03

    Review & return

Use prescribed drops, avoid eye rubbing and attend the planned review. Confirm fitness to fly and arrange continuing follow-up at home.

A Personalised care is a planning framework, not a guaranteed treatment or recovery period. Your clinician decides treatment timing, follow-up and fitness to fly; a longer stay may be needed.

WeKure coordinates enquiries; diagnosis, treatment and clinical advice remain with your treating provider. NORKA-focused Kerala plans are WeKure’s independent initiative, not a NORKA collaboration, official programme or endorsement. Scheme benefits and eligibility are separate.

For sudden vision loss, severe eye pain or other urgent symptoms, seek local medical care immediately. Do not wait for a travel consultation.
